The much-anticipated inauguration of DE CAUCUS, a socio-political group comprising Cross Riverians from all 18 local government areas (LGAs) and wards across the state, officially took place with a grand event titled the DE CAUCUS Inaugural Dinner/Flag-Off Ceremony.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Prince Olumba, the Diaspora Coordinator for DE CAUCUS. His speech set a positive tone for the evening, emphasizing unity and shared goals.

The Chairman of the occasion, Engr. Eyareosowo Edmond Etta, officially welcomed attendees and commended the vision behind DE CAUCUS. He expressed optimism about the group’s role in shaping the state’s future.

Apostle Bong Duke, the keynote speaker, lauded the initiative as a progressive step for Cross River State. He elaborated on the group’s vision and reassured his commitment to its success. He also highlighted the importance of leadership development and grassroots mobilization.

Rt. Hon. Hilary Bisong, a member of the Cross River State House of Assembly representing Boki 1, commended the group’s initiative. He remarked on the potential of DE CAUCUS to elevate Cross River State’s profile. Furthermore, he urged the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Apostle Bong Duke, to ensure the inclusion of youth in state development projects, from infrastructure to job creation.
