The Board of Trustees (BoT) of De Norsemen Kclub International (DNKI) has become aware of a deeply disturbing viral video depicting the immediate past International President of DNKI, Chief Chidi Anokwu, and his successor, Chief Oliver Patrick, engaged in a display involving a horned skull while exchanging inappropriate banter about ingesting blood from the said object.
We categorically and unequivocally dissociate DNKI from this video, its content, and any interpretations thereof. The actions displayed in
this video do not represent the values, principles, or practices of DNKI in any manner whatsoever.
We are an organization founded on integrity, respect for human dignity, and positive societal impact. As a humanitarian organization, our motto remains Service to Humanity. The imagery and conduct showcased in the video are entirely contrary to everything we stand for and have worked tirelessly to build.
DNKI holds its leadership to the highest standards of conduct, both in official capacity and in personal representation. The content of this video falls woefully short of these expectations and has caused considerable
concern, confusion, and distress among our members and the wider public.
We understand that this video has raised serious questions about judgment, appropriateness, and the responsibilities that come with leadership positions within our organization. These concerns are valid, and
we do not take them lightly
Consequently, a five-man Investigation Committee has been established to:
– Thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the creation and dissemination of this video
– Determine the intent and context of the actions displayed
– Assess any violations of organizational codes of conduct
– Recommend appropriate disciplinary measures, if warranted
– Propose concrete safeguards to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future
The findings and recommendations of this committee will be communicated
transparently to our membership and stakeholders within one week.
The Board of Trustees remains committed to upholding the dignity and reputation of our organization. We will not allow isolated acts of poor judgment to tarnish the collective efforts and achievements of DNKI and our dedicated members worldwide.
We urge all members of the public to refrain from associating this regrettable incident with the core mission and character of DNKI.
Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
Chief Akpabio Esien, Chairman.
Mr Kato Dienye, Secretary.
