The Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency Director General, Deaconess Mrs. Abasioffiong Offiong has ensured that no facility lack behind in terms of renovation and restocking of commodities/consumables as she has carried out massive revamping of the entire PHCs facilities across the 18 LGAs in the state.
With an emphasis on the importance of such action, the DG has reassured Cross Riverians that she will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that every dilapidated health facility that needs renovation and commodities/consumables restocking is attended to. Ongoing is massive renovation and restocking of commodities as well as consumables across affected facilities in the State.
Speaking on the importance of the health facilities being in good shape structurally and equipment-wise, Abasioffiong stated that no Cross Riverian will be happy and comfortable receiving care in an environment that is not conducive.
\”No cross riverian will be happy and comfortable receiving care in an environment that is not conducive neither will they have the confidence to run to a facility that does not always have commodities/consumables during emergencies.\”
\”Putting all of these important factors into consideration and with the usual support of our health Pro Governor Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, we\’ve decided to carry out massive revamping of the entire health facilities that are having one dilapidation or another and also carrying out of massive restocking of commodities and other consumables to all facilities.\” She added.
The DG Deaconess Mrs. Abasioffiong Offiong also assured Cross Riverians that the best of health care services and nothing less is what they\’ll always get as the agency will continue to work round the clock to ensure an improved health care services across all our health facilities in the state.
A few of the PHCs undergoing a massive renovation in the state include; PHC Ikot Ishie in Calabar Municipality LGA, PHC Onoyom in Eniong, PHC Echumofana in Yala LGA, etc as commodity restocking is ongoing across all facilities that need such commodities after exhausting the ones they have been provided with.
