The Bauchi State Government, under Governor Bala Mohammed, is set to send 50 students on foreign scholarships to China, highlighting its commitment to youth education and global opportunities.
Permanent Commissioner of the Bauchi State Scholarship Board, Hussaini Saraki, revealed this on Monday, noting that Bauchi is leading North-East states, including Adamawa, Yobe, and Borno, in awarding international scholarships.
He stated that the governor Bala Mohammed has consistently supported scholarships for studies in fields like medicine and other millennium courses in Chinese universities. Saraki emphasized the administration’s efforts to clear unpaid international scholarship backlogs and increase local scholarship stipends.
The students, currently processing their travel documents, mark another milestone in the state’s dedication to educational development amidst economic challenges.
