Governor Otu Speech at Airport as mammoth crowd Received Him and Wife

“I’m Back and Supercharged!” – Governor Otu Returns from Leave with Big Energy and Bigger Plans

Cross River State just got a major energy boost as Governor Bassey Otu landed in Calabar, fresh off a three week recharge.
Greeted by pumped up supporters at Margaret Ekpo International Airport, the Governor didn’t hold back:
“I’m back with double the energy and a clear mission to take Cross River to the next level.”

And he’s not just talking.
Otu revealed that during his time away, he was working, not chilling.
He personally oversaw the inspection of two new aircraft soon to join the CallyAir fleet, aimed at making air travel in and out of the state way smoother.

“We went through over 200,000 pages of documentation and checked every bolt and screw,” he said. “It was intense but necessary.”

But that’s not all.

Governor Otu says Cross River is officially entering its economic glow up era.
With major federal projects like the $538 million Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone and the long-awaited Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway finally kicking off, the state is set to become a key player in Nigeria’s economic game.

“Cross River isn’t just on the map, we’re becoming the bridge to real national growth,” he declared.

The President of the African Development Bank and Nigeria’s Vice President will be in town soon to break ground on a brand new Export Processing Economic Zone.
Think: jobs, trade, tech, and tons of opportunities.

“We’ve planted the seeds, now it’s time to harvest. And everyone’s invited to the table,” Governor Otu said.

From agriculture to infrastructure, the “People First” Governor says no one will be left behind in this next chapter.
