FAO is a specialized technical agency working towards the alleviation of poverty, strengthening of livelihoods and implementation of various food security interventions in partnership with Governments, National and International NGOs as well as other UN Agencies.
In Nigeria, FAO is focused on providing technical assistance and policy advice for the development of crops, livestock, fisheries & forestry sub-sectors, with due emphasis given to institutional capacity building and development of local skills & Expertise to ensure sustainability.
