“Leader Of Ikom Legislative Council Pledges Support And Cooperation Amongst Both Arms As He Unveils His Official Car.”
The Leader of the Ikom Legislative Council and Councillor representing the good people of Nnam Ward, Hon. Moyo Efale, has praised the State Governor, His Excellency Apostle Sen. [Prince] Bassey Edet Otu, for the provision of a utility vehicle for operation and enhancing service delivery to the grassroots.
He stated this while presenting his official vehicle to the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Pst. [Mrs] Mercy Nsor, while also promising to strengthen the relationship between the Legislature and the Executive arms of government.
In his words; “Ikom is all of ours to develop; we shall continue to support the Honorable Chairman as our Leader to enable the growth and development of our Area Council.
We are not ignorant of the baseless claims, rumors, and unfounded allegations making round on social media about boycotting, impeachment and all that not, I want to state here today that the Legislative arm of Ikom LGA and the Executive arm have been working in tandem for the progress, growth, and development of our people, there’s no rancor between both arms and they’ll never be one because we have a Chairman who has stood in as not only a mother/leader but an outstanding one.
In her response, the Chairman of Ikom Local Government Area, Hon. Mercy Nsor, admonished the Leader of Ikom Legislative council to make proper utilization of the vehicle and use it to help advance the course of the Local Government Area.
She described the leader and members of the Ikom Legislative Council as great minds who, beyond doubt, are agents of the new Ikom developmental Agenda while reassuring them of a smooth working relationship as usual.
It is worthy of note that, since the inauguration of the current leadership of Ikom Local Government Area, both the Executive and Legislative arms have remained united and in accord with a common vision of transforming the LGA into an admirable height.
