The Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (CRSMEDA) has become aware of widespread rumors concerning the Owan Enoh MSMEs Support Fund. It has come to our attention that individuals are being asked for money in exchange for their application or to become a beneficiary of this grant.
CRSMEDA wants to make it unequivocally clear that this agency does not, and will not, request any form of payment from its beneficiaries for any of its programs. This includes past initiatives like the very successful Retiree Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (REDI), the BOI nano grants and the ongoing CRSG/SMEDAN-Sterling Bank loan verification exercise.
We condemn these fraudulent activities in the strongest possible terms and urge the public not to fall victim to these criminal acts. Anyone involved in this scam should be reported to the appropriate authorities immediately.
