The Cross River State House of Assembly has confirmed Charles Atu as Director General, Cross River State Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau. The confirmation came after a rigorous screening process conducted by the House Committee on Judiciary, led by its Chairman, Rt. Hon. Davies Ettah.
The appointment of Charles Atu follows the recommendation of Cross River State Governor, Sen. Bassey Otu, who forwarded his name to the assembly on August 9, 2023. The screening took place on Friday, August 11, during which Mr. Atu faced intense questioning from the committee members.

After careful consideration, the Assembly found Charles Atu to be deserving of the role of Director General. His competence, experience, and dedication shone through, as he navigated the scrutiny of the assembly members with confidence and a deep understanding of the responsibilities that lie ahead.
The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, in addressing Charles Atu after his confirmation, emphasized the significance of his role. The Speaker stressed that Charles Atu\’s presence in the Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau serves as a vital watchdog against misappropriation and unethical practices within the State administration.
