The ideas of rewarding party faithful who worked assiduously for the success of our great party in the last general elections is a welcome development but such selection must be thorough, unbiased and number of votes scored must be put into consideration first.
I prefer Ward Chairman, Secretary, Chapter or State representative of that Ward and three Critical Stakeholders of the Ward to assemble and make this selection and also the party should endeavour to sanction any Political Ward that will submit two separate list to the State Executive Committee.
Again, we should bear in mind that some die-hard party faithful who had contributed immensely to the party may not be captured in the lists. Therefore, I humbly suggest that His Excellency the Governor should use his power and prerogative to appoint such person (s) into any available positions outside the three names submitted.
