NADDC to partner with CRSG to develop Automotive Sector

The delegation included Mr. Nau Omisanya, Director, Industry and Infrastructure Design Department; Mr. Simon Juwon, Protocol to the DG; Engr. Sylvester Ogar, Special Adviser to the Minister of State for Industry; and other representatives from the NADDC. This visit is a key part of ongoing efforts to bolster Nigeria’s automotive industry, encompassing the production and sale of vehicles and automotive components.

Receiving the team, the Cross River State delegation, led by Dr. Bong Duke, Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission (SPC); Mr. Great Ogban, Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Cross River State Microfinance Bank (MEDA); and Chief Ndem Effiong, Special Adviser, Automobile Technicians Regulatory Department, Governor’s Office, expressed optimism and a readiness to partner with the agency.

The NADDC is a parastatal of the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment. It is responsible for the development, regulation, and promotion of the automotive industry in Nigeria, with a mandate to ensure the local production of vehicles and automotive components, encourage investment, and create an enabling environment for the industry to thrive.
