Adhoc Staff Enumerators and Supervisors Training Schedule as Commision postpones Census to May 2023
The National Population Commission has postponed the 2023 Population and Housing Census Exercise earlier scheduled to commence on 29th March, 2023 to May, 2023.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, broke the News on Wednesday when he briefed State House correspondents at the end of Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
Mr Mohammed disclosed that the shifting of the 2023 Census date was necessitated by the postponement of the Guber and House of Assembly Election from 11th March to 18th March, 2023.
He also disclosed that the FEC approved N2.8 billion for the National Population Commission (NPC) to procure some software to be used for the conduct of the 2023 Census Exercise.
In view of the above, the NPC has adopted a New Training Time Table for Enumerators and Supervisors Adhoc Staff Training while rescheduling the 2023 Census Activities.
According to the New NPC adhoc staff training timetable of 2023 Census Activities are scheduled as follows:
(a) Refereshers (Virtual Training) for State Level Facilitators and Specialised WorkForce – 27th March, 2023 to 29th March, 2023.
(b) LGA Level Training on Building Numbering and Household Listing (First Phase Enumerators and Supervisors Training) – 31st March, 2023 to 6th April, 2023.
(c) LGA Level Training on Persons Enumeration (Second Phase Enumerators and Supervisors Training) – 25th April, 2023 to 29th April, 2023.
(d) Census Night – 2nd May, 2023.
(e) Enumeration of Persons (Main Census) – 3rd May, 2023 to 7th May, 2023.
