Otu embarks on a working visit to the Cross River Garment Factory.

The wife of Cross River State Governor, Rev.Mrs. Eyoanwan Otu, visited the Cross River Garment Factory in Calabar earlier today. The visit was part of the State Government’s resolve to revamp the textile and fabric industry in the State.

During her visit, Rev.Otu embarked on a guided tour of the factory. She however expressed confidence that the factory would play a major role in the state\’s economic development.

Rev.Otu however, hinted on plans to upgrade the factory to a textile and fabric hub, remarking that the factory would be a one-stop destination for textile, fabric and fashion endeavors. She also retorted that the factory would help in empowering women and youths, as it would create jobs for the skilled and semi- skilled workforce in the State.

The Cross River State Garment Factory is a major investment by the State Government. Rev.Otu\’s visit is a sign of the state government\’s commitment to the success of the factory.
