Otu Reopens Marina Resort, Lifts Ban on Scrap Metal Activities Set up new rules

Cross River State Governor, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, has ordered the reopening of the
Marina Resort, which was shut down over a speed boat incident.
The Governor directed that the order for the reopening is with immediate effect.
In another development, the Governor has lifted the ban on the activities of scrap operators.
Governor Otu, however, directed that companies willing to carry out scrap metal activities must
be guided fully by the following laid down rules:
1. Registration with the Scrap Metal Regulatory Agency of the State
2. Obtain a valid operational license from the Agency.
3. Obtain a valid form of identification from the Agency
4. Seek and obtain an approved location for their operations.
