The relaunch of Cally Air, operated by Value Jet Airlines, has continued to attract positive reactions from passengers and Cross Riverians, following its successful inaugural flight from Calabar to Abuja.
Among the excited passengers was the former Cross River State Commissioner for Health and Director General of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Ntunkae Hon. Dr. Janet Ekpenyong, who shared her experience on Instagram.

“I joined the inaugural Cally Air flight operated by Value Jet Airlines from Calabar to Abuja. It was smooth, and the crew were hospitable and professional. I commend His Excellency, Apostle Prince Bassey Otu, for this feat,” she wrote.
Dr. Janet further noted that with the additional fleet, the airline now provides alternative and uninterrupted connectivity, promotes healthy competition, and significantly contributes to the economic growth of Cross River State.

She also mentioned spotting several notable personalities aboard the same flight, including “our dear Padre, Rev. Father Bekomson,” describing the moment as both inspiring and memorable.
Cally Air’s successful return to the skies marks a major milestone in the Otu-led administration’s commitment to revitalizing the state’s aviation and tourism sectors.
