PETITION AGAINST THE CRUEL, GREEDY IMPOSITION/MONEY INFLUENCED EMMERGENCE OF MR. THOMAS ANOM, SON OF A SERVING COMMISSIONER, NTUFAM EMMANUEL ANOM AS COUNCILLORSHIP CANDIDATE, IKPAI WARD
We, the APC Family of Mkpot Community in Ikpai ward write to officially bring to your notice Sir, the Cruel, greedy imposition and money influenced emergence of Mr. Thomas Anom, Son of a serving commissioner, Ntufam Emmanuel Anom (Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture) as councillorship candidate in Ikpai ward.
Your Excellency Sir, it is very pertinent to note that Ikpai ward for political convenience is divided into two (2); Ikpai and Achan and the position of counsellor rotates between these two divide with strict adherence to the principle of Zoning.
In a meeting of Ikpai ward APC critical stakeholders held on Thursday
11th October, 2024 at Ntufam Richard Effa’s residence in Calabar, the position of counsellor was officially zoned to Mkpot Community.
Your Excellency, it is quite disheartening to know that there was no consensus amongst the Mkpot APC leaders (Ntufam Emmanuel Anom, Hon. Emmanuel Odu and Mr. Kenneth O. Ndifon) present in the meeting as Ntufam Emmanuel Anom vowed that his Son, Thomas Anom must be the counsellorship candidate to contest in the forth-coming local government council elections. Ntufam Emmanuel Anom equally boasted that you, His Excellency, have already endorsed his son as counsellor in Abuja.
Sir, this imposition has not only put Mkpot Community in disarray but the entire Ikpai ward is presently on fire as our party faithfulls have vowed to resist this vehemently.

Consequent upon the above Sir, we hereby present Mr. Joseph Ndifon Owor, who was duly screened and cleared by the party as our only counsellorship nominee for this election.
