Calabar, Cross River State – A collective of distinguished political leaders in Cross River has heaped praise upon Her Excellency Rev. (Mrs.) Eyoanwan Otu, the First Lady of the state, hailing her as a symbol of hope for society\’s less privileged.

Charitable Outreach: Her Excellency\’s visits to orphanages and homes for the elderly, resulting in generous donations of food items, clothing, and even a generator, providing essential support to these vulnerable groups.
Rehabilitation and Counselling: In a groundbreaking move, the First Lady visited the Nigerian Custodial Center in Calabar. During this visit, she offered prayers and counseling to inmates, encouraging them to aspire to become productive citizens upon their release. She also supported the renovation and construction of vital facilities within the facility.
Street Children Rehabilitation: The launch of a unique pet project aimed at rehabilitating and reintegrating street children into society, offering them a chance at a better future.

Support for the Physically Challenged: Her Excellency reached out to the physically challenged by donating wheelchairs, crutches, and providing financial assistance to empower them.
Women\’s Rights Advocacy: Addressing women\’s rights issues in rural communities, particularly in Obanliku Local Government, where she has championed the cause of women.
Facilitating Donor Agencies: Playing a pivotal role in hosting donor agencies and critical stakeholders, drawing attention to the needs of rural women in the state.
Promoting Women\’s Networking: Hosting the 23rd Women\’s Council to create a platform for women to network and exchange ideas.
