Rep. Bassey Akiba Message To Mark World Earth Day 2025
Dear Nigerians,
I am profoundly delighted to join the global community to mark World Earth Day 2025 under the theme: “Our Power, Our Planet.”
This theme highlights the pressing need for collective action to advance renewal energy, achieve sustainable agriculture, and safeguard the environment for future generations.
In the past years, we have witnessed the effects of climate change more acutely than ever. The message is clear: our planet is in distress. It is a reminder that our environment, the very foundation of our existence, must be cherished and protected.
As we celebrate this year’s World Earth Day, all hands must be on deck to address the issues of climate change, pollution, deforestation, and the loss of biodiversity.
This is even as we continue to support initiatives that will ensure a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment. The beauty of the Earth is a shared treasure, and it is our responsibility to safeguard it.
