Members of the 10th Assembly of the Cross River State House of Assembly were inaugurated today 13th June, 2023, at the House of Assembly Chamber by the Governor, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu who issued the Proclamation for the holding of the first sitting of the 10th Legislature of the Fourth Republic of the Cross River State House of Assembly.

In his opening remarks, the Governor who was represented by his Deputy, His Excellency, Rt. Hon Peter Odey, emphasized the strength of the legislative arm of government while praying that the members of the 10th Assembly should carry out their duties with utmost and deliberate regard for their code of conduct.
The highlight of the event was the swearing-in of the Speaker and other Principal Officers of the 10th House of Assembly. Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, Member representing Ikom 2 State Constituency emerged Speaker of the House.
