In a display of friendship and brotherhood, the extraordinary Senator Prof. Sandy Ojang Onor, adorned in his full element, graced the traditional marriage ceremony of Blessing, the beloved daughter of Hon. Jones Tangban, the Visitor to Havilla University, Nde-Ikom, and her groom, Chika, where he played a pivotal role as the father of the bride.

The colourful event, held on December 29th, 2024, took place at Hon. Jones Tangban Crescent, Old Forestry Quarters, Four Corners, Ikom.

In his remarks, delivered on the sidelines of the event, Senator Onor expressed profound joy at being part of the ceremony and commended the couple, Blessing and Chika for their union while wishing them a lifetime of happiness.

He also lauded Hon. Jones for his exemplary leadership and immense contributions to the society, describing the day as a celebration of unity and friendship.

Earlier, in his opening remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Mr. Gabriel Ogar (Aras), described the event as a platform for reunion and an opportunity to strengthen the bond between traditional brothers.

The bride, Blessing, radiated beauty and elegance in her traditional bridal attire, while her groom, Chika, beamed with happiness as they were celebrated by family members, friends, and well-wishers from diverse walks of life, with music and dance from the electrifying Royal Band Int’l.

The event attracted a host of dignitaries, cutting across political and social divides. Notable attendees included Hon. Victor Abang (Mature), member representing Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency; Prince Ebuta Ojong Ayuk, former Special Adviser to the President on Informal Sector Coordination; Mr. Bojor Ndifon, President-General of Ekpache Nkome; and Hon. Neji Abang (BB), member representing Ikom I State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly.

Also in attendance were Dr. Egbe Ayuk, Commissioner for Health, Cross River State; Ntufam Gabe Odu Oji, former Commissioner for Water Resources; Hon.
