SMEDAN and MEDA Partner First Lady’s Office to Boost Women’s Economic Empowerment in Cross River


The Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the Office of the First Lady of Cross River State to implement comprehensive development programs for Women in Agriculture, Market Women, and women-led Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across the state.

 

This collaborative initiative is strategically designed to foster significant economic development through targeted women’s empowerment. The Director-General of MEDA, Mr. Great Ogban, conveyed this commitment during a recent productive working visit with Their Excellencies, emphasizing the shared vision for advancing opportunities for women entrepreneurs. Mr Charles Odii, Director-General of SMEDAN, eulogised Her Excellency for her contributions in MSME and the development of other sectors in the state. Her passion for humanity has taken her beyond development boarders, he concluded.

Also in attendance was Dr Inyang Asibong, Special Adviser on Gender Mainstreaming and Chairman, Humanity Without Boarders Empowerment Initiative, who highlighted the several achievements of the foundation and opportunities for partnership to bolster development engagements.
