Sweet Prince Otu Cup: Teams Qualify for Final Showdown
The Prince Otu Cup tournament, a competitive event for secondary schools across the state, is nearing its conclusion. The tournament, which has captivated audiences over the past few months, will hold its final on November 15 at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar.
In the semi-finals on November 13, Purity Foundation School advanced to the finals by defeating Christian High School 2-1, securing their place in the championship match against Govisco Secondary School, Ikom. Govisco earned their spot in the finals with a 2-0 victory over GSS Ishibori.
The third-place match between GSS Ishibori and Christian High School is also scheduled for November 15 at UJ Esuene Stadium, kicking off at 2:00 PM. The final will follow at 4:00 PM, featuring Purity Foundation School against Govisco Secondary School, Ikom.
Hon. Ekanem Ekpenyong, the Special Adviser to the Governor, has been actively involved, ensuring that both students and game officials adhere to the rules. Other sports commission staff are also working diligently to maintain a fair and encouraging environment.
