All about the just Concluded Thursday Technovation 360 Tech Speak UNICAL Radio Show with Faculty of Engineering President, DOI & Host
It was just last week Thursday when a Collaboration deal with the Faculty of Engineering and Technology UNICAL Director of Information, Cynthia Maduekwe as the Co host and The Host of Technovation 360 UNICAL Radio, Chief Ntufam Takon Roland all about \”Tech Speaks\”.
On Thursday, 15th June 2023 had the Faculty of Engineering and Technology UNICAL President, Comr. Gabriel Akpabuo on the show to enlighten more about Impact, Purpose, Influence and Benefit of Technology I\’m Nigeria most especially in the Rural Areas which he emphasized more on it with instances. In summary to his words, \”TECHNOLOGY IS ALL ABOUT MAKING LIFE EASY FOR HUMANS\” as he gave n example of how one of the lecturer have an online test and result was shown afterwards which reduces the cost of transportation for students to come to the venue instead they stayed at their respective places to write and submit the test virtually as well got their result from it.
Through several research and references also according to infoguide which listed out 10 Importance of Technology in Nigeria;
1. Technology Enables Production of High-Quality Products and Services with Less Human Resources:
This is one of the major fear of Nigerians with technology. The fear that many people would be retrenched from their existing jobs that involve manual processes to give way to technological processes, with the current rate of unemployment in the country.
2. Technology Simplifies Communication Processes
Communication activities of sending and receiving messages have been simplified with the advent of the internet, email, fax, and instant messaging platforms.
3. Learning Is More Fun and Easily Accessible With Technology
With technology, all Nigerians can access learning materials and education from any part of the world.
