THE SIMPLE REASON GOVERNOR WIKE WAS NOT PICKED

As for those celebrating and happy about Wike not being taken as Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, you have right to be happy or rejoice about it, but it is also good to awaken your ignorance and also want you to know what transpired so that you won\’t be unnecessary be over excited for APC members, or blame it on the Party or Atiku Abubakar for the PDP members. His Excellency, Nyesom Wike won all nominations and even majority support from Party leaders to be Vice President. It is very evident in the 95% votes he had in the VP Nomination Committee.

According to report (though not verified), Atiku was not responsible, in fact, Atiku would have loved Wike to be his Vice, unfortunately, the new Electoral Law spoilt the show. As someone who contested in an election, you can not be taken to deputize for the Candidate who emerge from that very election and you can\’t also go to another Party to Contest, this is why even APC can not take Ahmed Lawan as Vice to Tinubu.

The Electoral Law is unfortunately the reason and a sad one at that. However, I do not think that Governor Nyesom Wike himself has any problem with it, he has not for ones spoken about VP, it was Party that seriously needed his strength, energy and experience in the race, hence their call and support for him to be the Vice President. So I do not think many of the Party leaders are even happy that the new Electoral Law made it this impossible.
