Tinubu Seeks Senate Confirmation for Boards of South West, North Central, and South South Development Commissions
President Bola Tinubu has formally communicated to the Senate, seeking confirmation of his nominees for the boards of the South West, North Central, and South South Development Commissions.
The South South Development Commission (SSDC) has eighteen nominees, with Chibudom Nwuche as Chairman and Usoro Offiong Akpabio as Managing Director. For the North Central Development Commission (NWDC), Tinubu nominated nineteen individuals, including Cosmas Akiyir as Chairman and Cyril Yeltsin as Managing Director. The South West Development Commission (SWDC)’s list features eighteen appointees, led by Senator Olubunmi Adetunbi as Chairman and Dr. Charles Akinola as Managing Director.
All nominees will be screened by the relevant Senate committees before their appointments are confirmed.
