The Management of the University of Calabar has formally declared the week marked for the celebration of Unical at 50 and the 37th Convocation, March 17–March 21, 2025, lecture free.
This declaration which was conveyed in a release signed by the Registrar of the University of Calabar, Dr(Mrs) Chukwuka Icha disclosed that the decision taken by Management is to enable Staff and Students participate fully in all the events scheduled for the week.

The release has further directed all Provosts, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, Staff and Students to adhere strictly to the given directive, as Management will take disciplinary action against defaulters.

Meanwhile, events marking the weekly celebration continues tomorrow with an Interdenominational Service scheduled to be held at the Unical International Conference Centre at 10 am prompt.
