Update: Progress of Works at the Lagos to calabar coastal Highway ( Section 3A/3B) as at 3/12/2025

The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway (Section 3A/3B) in Cross River and Akwa IbomStates is 65km long. Section 3A of the Road is linking Cross River and Akwa Ibom States,and other states in the South-South and South-Eastern part of the country.

Communities linking the Lagos – Calabar Coastal Highway in the South South

It will serve as the hub of economic activities in this part of the country. The
road which is designed to enhance nationwide connectivity will cut across multiple communities in Cross River State, including Awi, Njahasang, Oduyama, Ikot Okon Akiba, Obot Ekpo, Atan Okoyong, Ekemkpon, Mkpara Otop, Kaifa, Nduoduo, Oboroko, Esuk Ekom, Nkita and Ekong Atan Okubefore linking with the Calabar River Bridget to Akwa Ibom State and Nsia Oron, Etobodom, Ikot Inyang, Ikot Akpabio, Ikot Mkpo, Ndom Ebom, Esuk Imwang, Issa-Okuso in
Akwa Ibom State

Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway

This strategic Road Project when completed will enhance the National Road Infrastructure, reduce congestion and play a significant step  towards improving the Environmental Conversation for Nigeria.

The Road aligns with the National
Road Strategy with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. Presisdent to boost economic activities and sustainable development in these
region of the country.
