Amazon plans to donate $1 million to president-elect Donald Trump’s Inauguration, It will also donate $1 million worth of services by streaming the event on Amazon Video.
Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, is expected to meet with Trump in person in the next few days. He, along with other tech leaders, is looking to build stronger ties with the incoming president.

Amazon is the world’s largest e_commerce and cloud computing company.
Bezos and Trump talked during the summer after the first assassination attempt. At the time, Bezos praised Trump in public.
“Our former President showed great courage and grace under real danger tonight,” Bezos wrote on X.
Trump has been getting closer to tech companies. He often mentions his private talks with them in interviews and public appearances and now praises the same companies he once partly blamed for losing the 2020 election.
Trump also met with executives from Blue Origin, the space company founded by Bezos. In an opinion piece, Bezos denied claims that he withheld the endorsement to gain favor with Trump, stating he wasn’t aware of the meeting beforehand.
Over the years, Trump has had multiple disputes with Zuckerberg. In a book released this year, the president-elect seemed to issue a warning to the Meta CEO.
