The State Chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) Cross River State Chapter, Comrade Josephine Bassey led members of the State Administrative Council yesterday on a courtesy visit to the office of the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong. The visit was to felicitate with the DG on her appointment and to congratulate her upon assumption of office while charging her on capacity building and excellent service delivery.

In her message Comrade Josephine Bassey reiterated that the reward for hard work is more work. She eulogized Mrs Abasioffiong stating that her individual live is a testament that greatness can only be achieved through dint of hardwork, humility, good followership, integrity, diligence, and excellence in service.

Comrade Josephine Bassey stated further that as a committed member of the Association the state council is delighted with this development and thereby wishes her success in her new assignment. Comrade Josephine ended by assuring the DG of the Association\’s support in every way possible and look forward to meaningful collaborations in the future.

On her part, Mrs Abasioffiong appreciated the chairman and her team pledging more support to continuously collaborate with the Association for the interest and wellbeing of cross riverians. \”Am truly honored for this visit and while I welcome you all to my office today, I want to reassure you that we\’ll continue to work together for the growth of our health sector and will chat a positive course on how to improve the health care services of our people. My lines will remain open for partnership at all times.\”

Highlights of the visit was the presentation of roll up banners and throw pillows.

With the chairman was the State Secretary Comrade Joseph Idiege, State Vice Chairman Lady Gertie Agbor (LSM), State Treasurer Comrade Roseline Obojor Ogar, State Financial Secretary Comrade Ernest Ekabo, State PRO Comrade Ojong Woda, State Auditor 1 Comrade Mercy Obeten, State Auditor 11 Comrade Asuquo Samuel Asubara, and a host of other dignitaries.
