This is to inform the general public both motorist and pedestrian that; His Excellency the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu has graciously approved the Remodeling and Rehabilitation of the Marian Market Walkover Bridge.

To this end therefore; sections of the Pedestrian Bridge and the Marian Road will be closed periodically to allow for work to be carried out beginning from Friday 1st August, 2025.
Pedestrians and motorists are encouraged to use the alternative routes that will be provided.
