Community leaders and elders of the community gathered in masses as Honorable Mike Etaba was warmly represented by the National Youth Council of Nigeria Cross River State Chapter, Comr. Dan Obo Jr., with the National Deputy Chairman, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Honorable member, Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency Hon. Mike Etaba, who has his people at heart, chose to pay a visit to all the warring communities. He charges the community leaders and elders of the land to please give peace a chance, as war isn’t a good thing to deal with as a means to solve problems.
He further expressed his reaction to the recent developments in the community, like the NYSC camp and Cross River State University situated on the land. What will the community gain if these developments are taken off, or do these communities not want the community of Ofatura to get new development?
Let’s desist from war; let\’s create development by preaching to our youths a better way to resolve community issues instead of choosing war.He further pleaded with the elders to forgive the youths of today, who have seen war as source to solve problems, not knowing they’re destroying youths are destroying what the elders have planted.
Comr. Innocent The Deputy National Youth Council of Nigeria appreciates the elders and community leaders for gathering to hear them. He called on the chiefs to please call on the youths in times where communities have issues, urging the youths to please desist from hard drugs and unnecessary activities that will bring setbacks to the local government and communities.
He finally called on the chiefs to see land struggling as a distraction to succeed among themselves. The future is bright, and it’s very important to live long to see your brothers from this community become the top leaders of the state.
The chiefs of the Ofatura community appreciate the honorable for finding the community fit to pay a visit through the state youth council chairman, Comr. Dan Obo Jr. He points out instances to relate Ofatura as a woman community to the next community.
He urges Mr. Mike Etaba to tell the leaders up there that they failed to solve the issues when they started by not telling the truth. He described the war as an action that started small, but the leaders weren’t ready to speak the truth when it was little.
He urges the government to note that the stakeholders in these communities have decided to destroy the Ofatura community because it’s small,but God doesn’t allow it.
He ended by saying peace is the key, as the national level has come to recognize these act among our community.
