Martha Agba receives blessings from Kubbong-Bette Community

 

A frontline aspirant for the Obudu Local Government Chairmanship election, Martha Agba, has received blessings and prayers from the people of Kubbong-Bette Community.

Martha, an indigene of Kubbong-Bette Community in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State, visited her people to formally inform them of her intention to run for the Chairmanship of Obudu Local Government Area.

Community leaders, chiefs, youths, women, and children gathered in the community centre to say prayers for their daughter, whom they identified as a torch bearer for the Kubbong-Bette people.

In his remark, the Chairman of the Community, Mr. George Amoke appreciated Martha for always seeking the prayers of her people in all her pursuits. He noted that Martha is a very familiar person amongst her people. He stated that the community will unanimously support and pray for her to actualize her aspiration

In his remark, the leader of the community, Andrew Uklala, pledged the support of the youths of Kubbong-Bette Community. He noted that Martha is a worthy ambassador of the youths of Kubbong-Bette. He urged her to carry her heads high because her people are solidly behind her.

Mrs. Rita, who spoke on behalf of the women, assured Martha of the support of the women of Kubbong-Bette Community. She stated that her emergence as Chairman of Obudu LGA will undoubtedly be a blessing to the people of the community

Also present at the meeting are the Secretary of the Community, Abraham Ugbong, the Vice Chairman, Mr. Agaba Benard, the Treasurer, Mr. Atem Emmanuel, the Financial Secretary, Mr. Ogar John, the PRO, Mr. Unim Mathias, the Treasurer, Mr. Felix Anyacang, Godwin Angwumdole, Chief Joseph Atem, Chief Peter Anashie, Chief Emmanuel Adie, Chief Linus Anie, Chief Cyprian Uklala, Elder Cyprian Anie, Christopher Agba and many more who came out in their numbers to say prayers and blessings for their daughter.

The meeting was concluded with pouring water on the feet of the aspirant (Obudu Local Government Chairmanship election, Martha Agba). The pouring of water on the feet is a traditional prayer to guide the steps of the aspirant.
