MEDA, Cross River House Committee Discuss Economic Empowerment Initiatives

The Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA) and the House Committee on Commerce, Industry, Privatization and Public Private Partnership (PPP) of the Cross River State House of Assembly met today to strengthen synergy between the Executive and Legislative, and enhance transparency in efforts to empower Cross Riverians.

Led by Director-General Great Ogban, the MEDA delegation briefed the Committee on the agency’s various programs, emphasizing the importance of legislative oversight. Ogban assured the Committee of MEDA’s commitment to continuous synergy with the House of Assembly, particularly the Commerce, Industry, Privatization and Bureau of Public Private Enterprise (BPPE) Committee, recognizing them as key legislative partners.

Committee Chairman, Ntufam Okon Owuna, reiterated the House of Assembly’s dedication to driving development and ensuring the judicious use of resources for the benefit of Cross Riverians. He expressed the Committee’s readiness to provide oversight and ensure public access to MEDA’s programs.
