The President of the Initiative for Youth Transmission and Positive Change Nigeria, Ambassador Charles Omini, has emphasized that only deliberate and strategic engagement of Nigerian youths by all levels of government can effectively reposition the nation for growth and stability.
Speaking during his official visit to the Kogi State leadership of the Initiative in Lokoja, Omini stressed the untapped potential, energy, and creativity embedded in the Nigerian youth population. He urged federal, state, and local governments to harness these attributes through structured programs in governance and economic development.

He noted that many Nigerian youths remain sidelined in decision-making processes, despite their capacity to drive innovation and leadership transformation. “Youths have the talent, the strength, and the vision to move this nation forward. What they need is an enabling environment and meaningful involvement in national development efforts,” Omini said.
As part of efforts to empower the next generation, the Initiative for Youth Transmission and Positive Change is set to commence the training of 5,000 youths across Nigeria, beginning with the South-South geopolitical zone. The program aims to build leadership capacity, enhance entrepreneurial skills, and promote civic participation among young Nigerians.
Omini concluded by calling on young people to rise and take their rightful place in leadership, stressing that the time has come for a youth-driven revolution in governance backed by strong institutional support.
