The Special Adviser on Marine Services to the Governor of Cross River State, Capt. Otu Ita Otu, attended the ProBlue Stakeholders’ Engagement Session on collaborative partnerships essential for advancing the national and sub‑national Blue Economy agenda. The session, convened in line with the vision of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, provided a platform for Capt. Otu to present key areas of intervention that will be impactful to the good people of Cross River State through the marine sector. His presentation highlighted strategic investments in sustainable fisheries, coastal infrastructure, marine tourism, and capacity‑building programmes that align with the state’s development priorities.

 

 

During the proceedings, Capt. Otu expressed sincere gratitude to Barr. Melodie Leno, Special Adviser on Blue Economy, for his heartfelt expertise and unwavering support. He commended Barr. Leno’s dedication to fostering innovative partnerships and wished him continued success, noting that such collaboration will directly benefit the citizens of our dear State in accordance with the “People’s First” mantra of His Excellency Apostle Sen. Prince Bassey Otu. Capt. Otu reiterated that the collective efforts of all stakeholders are essential to realizing the full potential of Cross River State’s blue economy.
