In the spirit of the New Year and in alignment with the People First mantra of His Excellency Sen (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu’s led administration,” the Special Assistant to the Governor on Assembly Liaison, Eric Egbe Azogor has distributed relief items to youths and the aged in Iyamoyong Ward, Obubra Local Government Area.
A total of 200 bags of rice were shared among beneficiaries across the ward as part of efforts to promote what was described as a “season of sweetness” and to put smiles on the faces of the people during the New Year celebration.
In addition, 50 elderly persons received a cash gift each alongside a bag of rice, as a gesture of care and appreciation for their years of contribution to the community.

Speaking during the distribution, the Special Assistant, Eric Egbe noted that the initiative, though modest, was a personal contribution to supporting the Governor’s people-centered governance philosophy.

“This is the little I can do to appreciate and reflect the People First mantra of His Excellency, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, His Administration must touch lives directly, especially at the grassroots,” he said.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the timely intervention, describing it as a welcome relief and a true reflection of responsive leadership at the ward level.
