Students Reveal Why They Chose UNICROSS as Preferred Institution

Written by calabarGist

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) recently held its matriculation ceremony for newly admitted 100-level students, under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Francisca Bassey.

During the ceremony, which formally welcomed the new students into the institution, several of them spoke with a correspondent from Calabargist about their reasons for choosing UNICROSS as their institution of study.

Many of the students explained that the university presented them with a quicker opportunity to gain admission compared to other institutions in Cross River State, where admission requirements and competition are often more demanding.

Some students also revealed that UNICROSS became their second option after they were unable to secure admission into their first-choice institutions. Rather than remain at home waiting to write another Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, they decided to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the university.

The matriculation ceremony itself was described by students as peaceful and well organized, with no incidents of violence or disruption recorded throughout the event.

According to the new students, they are optimistic about their academic journey at UNICROSS, expressing hope for success and noting that they have not encountered any negative experiences since their admission.
