Youths from Cross River State are mobilizing with buses to storm Abuja in protest over the mysterious detention of the Chairman of the Anti-Illegal Mining Committee, Hon. Prince Paul Effiong.
Hon. Effiong was invited by the Inspector General of Police following his recent arrest of Dansuki Boys and the seizure of an excavator from an illegal mining site in Akamkpa.
Since his invitation, there has been no communication or update on his whereabouts, raising serious concerns among residents of Calabar and the entire Cross River State.
The youths are demanding immediate clarity on his status and calling for his release if no charges have been filed.
