APC Stalwarts Reaffirm Allegiance, Pledge Support for Commissioner MLGA, Chief Victor Felix Idem as Party Leader in Calabar Municipality LGA

The Commissioner Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Chief Victor Felix Idem has called for peace and unity in Calabar Municipality to ensure that the council benefits from the season of sweetness era of the Prince Bassey Edet Otu-led administration.

Chief Idem who made his stance known in a stakeholders meeting held in Calabar Municipality council assured all party stakeholders of Prince Otu\’s resolve to ensure that the season of sweetness reaches the length and breadth of the state.

He further urged the stalwarts to sheathe their swords and embrace peace for the progress and development of the council.

The Local Government Affairs Boss who maintained that APC is the party of the people, noted that the gathering was expedient to foster unity and togetherness in the local government area, particularly amongst critical Stakeholders of the party.

He said, \”the purpose of the meeting is to thank the people of Calabar Municipality for the resounding victory in the general elections as well as reconcile all aggrieved groups to ensure that the council moves forward in governance.

\”The Prince Bassey Edet Otu\’s government is a people oriented government that takes a sacrificial stance for the betterment of the people, with a servant-leader approach to governance.

\”Calabar Municipality will now move into a level where there is respect for the leadership, love for one another and care for the downtrodden. Chief Idem affirmed.

Meanwhile stakeholders of the APC in Calabar Municipality LGA, reiterated their unequivocal and unalloyed loyalty and support of Chief Idem as the undisputed leader of the party in the local government area.

On his part, the member representing Calabar Municipality in the State House of Assembly, Hon Stanley Nsemo who described Chief Idem, as the \”candle that lights up Calabar Municipality, reiterated his leadership acumen, noting that he is singleminded in his magnanimity to ensure the growth and development of the council area\”.

Similarly, the Commissioner for Mineral Resources, Hon Effiom Ekaha urged that the stakeholders maintain their independence in thoughts and action adding that, \”the leadership of Chief Victor Felix Idem is undisputed and recognized from the state executive council to the local government area.\”

The Commissioner for Social Development, Bishop Dr. Margaret Ene-Ita sued for progress in the council. She said, \”Calabar Municipality is the seat of the state, we must do everything to ensure that we progress as a council\”.

Meanwhile, the DG SEMA, Rev. James Anam lent his voice in reaffirming the need for peace in the council. He noted, \”Chief Idem will lead us to greatness in Calabar Municipality. Let us take back our place of pride and align with his leadership to ensure that we benefit from the sweetness of Prince Otu\’s government\”.

Other critical stakeholders affirmed their resolve to align with the leadership of Chief Idem to ensure that the council is carried along in the state.
