Obol Lopon of Ekori Endorses His candidate for Central Senatorial Election

The Obol Lopon of Ekori on behalf of his cabinet, His Royal Highness Obol Donatus Ubi Ofem has endorsed the APC Senatorial candidate, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams saying he will emerge victorious in the forthcoming February 25 senatorial election.

The royal father spoke when the APC Abi/Yakurr campaign train visited him in his palace in Ekori as part of their ward-to-ward tour to Ntan, Epenti, and Ajere wards in Ekori.

Obol Ofem in his speech described the APC candidates as men of substance and pleaded to Ekori people to vote massively from top to bottom in the state.

He reiterated that Abi and Yakurr are one and if someone from Abi needs something, the Yakurr people should support him and remember tomorrow while urging Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams, Hon. Alex Egbona and Cyril Omini to proceed to the campaign venue and sell themselves, for they were highly protected.

Earlier, the Central Senatorial Candidate Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams noted that he was brought up in Ekori, and because of that, he has always seen Ekori as his home.

Williams added that he had given more employment and appointments in Ekori and that he facilitated the rehabilitation of St. Thomas Primary School in Ekori and he is already lobbying for the inclusion of Ekori-Assiga beach road in the national budget.

He concluded that if voted into power he will bring more dividends of democracy to Ekori communities and their environs.

Also Speaking, Hon. Alex Egbona, member representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency at the National Assembly noted that APC is the party in government at the federal, state and local level, therefore the people should align with the government of the day.

He added that APC government brought Federal Polytechnic to Ugep, and the people of Ekori will surely benefit from the institution.

He explained that he had not only trained the Ekori people but he took a Centre to Ekori for training, while also pledging to facilitate a bridge between Ekori and Adadama when elected for a second term.

In his remarks, APC Campaign Coordinator in Yakurr, Rt. Hon Ubi Itam Ettah, said he came with a good market to sell to the people of Ekori and if they buy the market everyone will certainly benefit from it.
